ARCHIVED FORUM -- March 2012 to February 2022READ ONLY FORUM
This is the second Archived Forum which was active between 1st March 2012 and 23rd February 2022
Since 2012 I have been using Photobucket for uploading pics to my threads so all of these are gone. I have now made a test to restore the pics in http://archivedforum2.beoworld.org/forums/thread/27990.aspx
and http://archivedforum2.beoworld.org/forums/p/1666/14226.aspx#14226
It is time consuming: First I uploaded the pics needed to folders in "My Files", 1 pic at a time, not possible to select and upload more than 1 (one) pic.
After upload I then go to the thread I want to restore: find the missing pics, select edit, delete the PHBU logo, click the film strip, get insert media, I now have to click 4 times to get to the folder with the pics, select the pic and click insert, the pic appears in the edit window, onto the mext one, I then have to do the same all over again for each pic.
Today I have used about 3 hours restoring pics in 2 threads one of them not finished yet (missing 25%)
I have in my B&O folder around 2Gs of pics, sorted by items I restored and/or have in my stock, since 2012 I have posted at least 17 (maybe more) repair or restore threads.
If I could batch upload pics it would go a lot faster
If the insert media went directly to the folder with the pics after inserting the first pic in an edit or new thread, it would go a lot faster
Every time I insert a pic the edit window goes to the top and I will have to scroll down to where the last pic was inserted, why not in the position of the last inserted pic, the same in the folder with the pics, scroll down to the pic you want, if it went to the last selected pic it would go faster.
There must be a way to make this easier
Collecting Vintage B&O is not a hobby, its a lifestyle.
Hi Søren,
Yes it's a pain to upload photos to the forum even if it's just one or two, rather than an entire repair thread. Other forums are far easier - often with drag and drop.
So I am sure that we all understand that you have far better things to do than spend time repairing your old thread - easier for people to approach you for specific photos if required.
Anyway, good to have you back on the forum!
