Hi Guys!
I am facing a problem with a client, he is having BV Avant 75 and BL20 as rear speaker.
The problem is he cannot get the surround effect with the setup. But he is claiming that he got the same setup in UK and US but he is getting the correct sound effects. He feels the rear speaker has very less sound effects. I already tried to increase the Level or change the speaker roles, still he doesn't feel satisfied.
Would be very grateful to gets some opinions and suggestions.
Thanks,
Just a quick question, is the client using the same media as a reference comparison?
I'm not quite sure if he is using the same media as reference of comparison but per the client claim he is having the same exact tv and set of speakers and having a surround sound.
Related, I usually have BL9's connected to my BV11. There have been a handful of times when I connected a pair of BL20s instead of the BL9 and I noticed a distinct drop in sound. They were connected via WISA, and I had to adjust levels. I'd imaging the same things happening for rear speakers, since there's even less sound in the rear channel.
I already put max level for the rear channel but still he doesn't feel the surround effect. I dont know where else I can tweak the sound settings to satisfy his requirment.
Hi,
1. Check the Sound Mode -> Advanced -> Spatial. If this is set to 1:1 or Downmix, then the True Image algorithm is not upmixing, and there will be nothing sent to the surround loudspeakers...
2. If True Image is on, then you can also play with the "Surround" control under the Spatial Controls in the Sound Mode Advanced menus. This will adjust the relative levels of the front and surround outputs from the True Image upmixer.
Note that both of these are changing things only in the selected Sound Mode. So, if you are in Music mode, and you "tweak" these parameters, and then the DVB metadata changes the Sound Mode to Drama, then all is lost... :-)
Hope this solves your problem...

Thanks Geoff Martin for a very detailed solution for this kind of issue.
I will try to check this in the sound menu.
Thank you very much!
