Pls, can someone help, I need PIN code for my B & O Avant 28 DVD Television.
It was shipped to my country early this year and so I bought it as 'second hand' product. It's been lying fallow in the house because of the PIN code which was not written on it from the source.
Sincerely wishes someone can help out! Thanks.
Taiwo
Only way to do this is to contact a B&O dealer and give him the serial number and a proof that you are the owner/a receipt from the former owner.
This way you could get a master code to reset the pin code now used.
And by the way, welcome to the Beoworld forum.

There is a tv - and there is a BV
Welcome to Beoworld !
You will need to contact B&O to get the code(s) you need. For this you will need to bring the purchase receipt, preferably the original. You willhave to get this from the prevous owner. Before giving you the code, B&O will check if the item has been reported stolen.B&O things are among the most stolen items in the world. Without the codes the items are pretty much worthless. This is B&Os way to counteract for trading with stolen goods.
Beoworld neither can - nor will - give out codes.

Thanks. But I do not have the original receipt. With the serial number, B & O should be able to know if the item was stolen or not. It's quite difficult getting the original user since he/she is not in my country!
Taiwo526: Thanks. But I don't have the original receipt. With the serial number , I think it should be easy to trace if the item had been reported stolen earlier. It's quite difficult to get the original receipt . I do not even know the previous user neither is he in my country! Taiwo

I suggest that you ring up your nearest B&O dealer (or pay him a visit). I think that the dealer will be sympathetic, particularly as these older CRT TV's now have little market value and are consequently unlikely to have been involved in theft. My own dealer has always been very helpful, but that's a situation where I have a purchase history and have been known to the dealer for some years.

It could've been stolen years ago and changed "owners" god knows how many times, but by all means, do as Graham suggests, go ahead and contact B&O. Only they can help you.
Grateful.
Hope there will be a way out, 'Cos I like the product

Martin is absolutely correct. You really need a receipt or some 'Provenance' from a seller. The chances are that there is nothing untoward with your purchase, but be prepared for a difficult time if the B&O central records show that the TV went missing in its former life.
