Maybe I'm old fashioned but I always think that wired is better than wireless, for almost anything, really. Especially Audio.

Wired will always be better. Wireless is always a compromise.

Wisa will be the best 'protocol' and the say wisa is capable of sending 24 bit digital sound without quality loss...

It communicates in the 5 ghz band.

So better? Absolutely not (you can't make it better). Unless you use inferior powerlink cables

I have to agree, with a wire you are confident of the connection and signal path, there's no possible ambiguity or issue except for assuring a good contact at the places where the cable connects to the hardware. With wireless it's always less well defined, and while the WISA standard uses the currently less crowded 5 GHz band, as time goes on that band will become as crowded as the 2.4 GHz band is currently, with increasing chances of signals from other devices or neighbors stepping on the WISA signal. WISA is a wonderful thing if you have to use it, as in if there's no practical way to run wires or to hide them well, but given the choice I'd go wired if at all possible.

I'm afraid I'm recovering from the BeoVirus. Sad

I agree, that a wire has the potential to be very reliable.

However, there are those, who don't 'like' the analog connection via PL.

Theoretically it might be, that the digital connection (WiSA) is better...

....personally I don't think, that 'we' may hear/notice a difference.

I would use the PL-wire, whenever I can.

But - on the other hand - I see no problem in using Wireless PowerLink, if needed.

Does anybody have an idea of the "bandwidth" that a PL cable handles in terms of signal compared to the wireless option?

Jeff, you described exactly what I thought but what I couldn't describe easily enough in my, not native, English language! Yes - thumbs up

has anyone done a sound comparison with their set up and have feedback on the sound quality between wired power link connection vs. WiSA?
