This has been perplexed. I have 2 Moments. With the Moment in the living room, when I touch the middle inside the volume ring on the aluminum side, the Moment starts playing TuneIn. However, with the Moment in the bedroom, when I touch the middle inside the volume ring on the aluminum side, the Moment starts playing Music (Deezer or local music). I actually prefer how the bedroom Moment responds to this control. Both Moments have the same software and are set up for both TuneIn and Deezer. This happens regardless of the last source played. Is there a setting somewhere to control the function of this single touch on the inside of the volume ring?

PatternPlay is not being triggered on either of my Moments. Note that I'm running 2.1 and not the 2.2 beta. I don't know if that makes a difference. Also, I'm using the aluminum side and not the wood side on both. I'm waking the JukeBox from sleep mode with the single touch. I'm using both Moments in the same way. However, the Moment in the bedroom wakes from sleep mode and resumes the last song played in the play queue. Whereas, waking the Moment in the living room from sleep mode starts TuneIn.
PatternPlay while pressing on the ALU wheel has been introduced in version 2.x
If you wake up your Moment by first tapping on the JB, then on the ALU wheel, the Moment will resume what you were playing
If you wake up your Moment by first tapping on the ALU wheel, then it will trigger PatternPlay.
This is the logic in 2.x

I hear what you're saying, but this is definitely not the behavior of either of my Moments. The living room Moment starts TuneIn but the bedroom Moment starts resuming the play queue. All of this is from a single tap on the center of the wheel on the aluminum side with the JB totally in sleep mode. I'm not touching the JB prior to touching the aluminum wheel center. These are both running the 2.1.1.x software.
Interesting indeed.
Just tested on mine (2.2.x), tapping the alu wheel to wake up the Moment started a PatternPlay stream.JB screen first shows the Now Playing screen in the state it was before going to standby mode and then refreshes to the newly generated PatternPlay playlist, this is the normal and expected behavior.
To be honest I didn't test it since a while as I don't like this feature, I now systematically tap the JB screen to wake up the Moment, it is possible that 2.1.x introduced an issue on this front. I would report to B&O who may ask you to send the devices logs for analysis.
Ah, you know... A little B&O here, a little there
BeoMegaMan:Your moment is behaving correctly. The Moment learns your usage behavior and when you tap the wheel or volume will always revert to the normal usage source for the product. To change the behavior wake up just the screen and train the moment by selecting your source. After about a week it should pickup the usage and revert to that source once tapped on the circle area. Which is called PatternPlay .... as I stated in my first answer :-)

The behavior of my Moment in the bedroom is CLEARLY not PatternPlay. It's not selecting music based on what type of music I might listen to at a particular day or time of the day. Rather, it always resumes the play queue.
mbolo01:I was simply putting a name on a long description and I already suggested you report to B&O as resuming playing by tapping on the alu wheel while the Moment is in standby is not a normal behavior
mbolo01, I really do appreciate your kind help. I'm just feeling very frustrated with the Moment's hands-on interface. I've had my living room Moment for months now and it should have adapted to my usage, if that truly is the case. Yet, it seems that it has not. I was just hoping that there was some programming option that I had missed. Thanks again for your kind help.
mbolo01:beojeff, there is surely an explanation. If both your Moments have the same version and don’t differ drastically in their setup, there is no obvious reasons for a different behavior. Let me ask you a couple of questions and my apologies if you find them basic, i just need to understand: Is my understanding correct: your living room Moment is systematically starting TuneIn when you wake it up by pressing the alu wheel while you are expecting a different behavior because you are listening different sources on this device during the day like you do on the bedroom one? -Correct Are you sure that the bedroom one resumes where it previously stopped and that it is not generating a new playlist? -Yes How often do you listen TuneIn on the living room compared to other sources? -I almost never listen to TuneIn. Are you using the MoodWheel on the living room one? On the bedroom -I never use the MoodWheel on either Moment. Are both Moments configured with the same sources? i.e. TuneIn, Deezer or DLNA -Yes Do you have preferred TuneIn radios? Deezer albums you liked? How many DLNA tracks? Yes. yes. About 18K DLNA tracks. I rarely use DLNA, though. I mostly use Deezer. Are both Moments configured for multiroom (Beolink) and if yes what is the setup of each of them? Yes. Each Moment uses an ML TV with the TV's speakers via its own NL/ML Converter. Cheers
