Dear B&O Experts,

This post is a request to you if anyone can direct me to how I can source a new CD Driver for my Beosound 9000 MkII. My machine has "died" in that the CDs no longer rotate and I get the PAUSE message. I have read that this is a problem others here have posted in the past and that it is probable that the laser is finished and a new CD Driver is needed. My problem is that I have learnt from the B&O folks here in Zurich that that the replacement part is no longer made/supplied by B&O!! That now renders my Beosound 9000 pretty much useless :-(

Any suggestions where I could pick up a new CD Driver much appreciated.

Kind regards to all.

Michael

Hi, i coincidentially see you post:)

the key question is: are you able to repair yourself ?

if you do not have the experience/skills, do not try.

Well, there should still be parts for the MK3 versions of the Beosound 9000 available. The MK2 can be upgraded with the new MK3 version. Try and ask your dealer and give them this information.

Thanks for this suggestion. I discussed the Mk III replacement part and the B&O folks said that it was not possible to use this replacement part as the mechanisms between the Mk II and the Mk III are different.....?

Many thanks for the suggestion. How do you clean the laser lens exactly? Its in the moving arm somewhere, right? Many thanks!
