Hi Beo-people:

I replaced my 7000's cassette drive belts a few years ago (thanks dillen!), but a few months ago, it stopped taking up on the right spool while playing, so it shuts off before anything happens. It rewinds and fast forwards perfectly, so I'm wondering if there's something else that needs replacing or oiling or greasing up.
I'm looking forward to listening to my hundreds of cassettes again!

Welcome to Beoworld !

Could be a matter of cleaning and lubricating the take up reel.
Could also be a problem with the mechanical brake on that reel.

Thanks! I finally got around to this, a tiny droplet of oil on the axel of the wheel that transfers to the takeup reel has it running again!
