beocenter 2 issue pincode

hello,

I have made an error when entering the pin code and it doesn't let me type twice. I have "code erroné" on the display and I can't enter another code. 

I try the : list left arrow left arrow exit, for entering into the code menu and it asks le the service code. 11111 is not recognized

I have the master code and it worked before.

You have unplugged it for a while of course ? I am sure you have.

Tried already everything and during at least one hour.

Now the led is always blinking. if it asks for a code it is only the service code not the mastercode which I have. The service code 11111 is not recognized I have even tried another cable and socket unit. the other socket unit works with its own code (now deactivated because I don't want another issue).

Finally happy ending

Has I tried the solution the solution to unplug it for a long period, without success, I finally decided to let it plugged during several hours. The standby stopped blinking and I have the opportunity to type again the pin code.

I have disabled it in order to avoid another pb.

I still don't understand why it prevents to make another try just after the first unsuccessful one.

Sound just like the situation with the old Avant or Beocenter TV. Leave unplugged for 30 minutes or more and you have to re-enter the PIN. After 3 wrong attempts you get a 'WAIT' message. With the Avant you then needed to leave it plugged in for a long period, usually overnight, for the 'WAIT' message to clear and for you to get another 3 PIN attempts. If you interrupted the overnight power-on by disconnecting from the mains the 'WAIT' period (6hours?) started all over again.

Would be the case if I had done 3 attemps. I have just done ONE. That's what annoy me.

I have to admit that I have removed the PIN code from my BC2, mainly so that I can power it off from the wall and switch it back on easily. All to do with an inquisitive grandchild!
