Hi

Can anyone tell me how to detach the base plate from the pole?

I can't think that it's not detachable, but it's sure got me stumped!

Cheers

The plate is detachable - you have to turn the speaker on its side (on the floor) and look underneath. I can't recall how many screws but should be straight forward. Here is a link with the instructions..

I think he means BeoSound 1 Floor Stand.. the one with the single pole.

I've wrestled these like a man wrestling a crocodile on many occasions, and got nowhere. It was only when I had 'Freeze Spray' suggested to me that I was able to take these apart for shipping.

Get some freeze spray, turn the stand upside down, spray where the pole meets the base, then twist the pole. Works every time for me.

Servisol do it, and Maplins do their own version...
