Hi

I own some B & O audio equipment.  Some items have intermittent issues that might warrant recapping or restoration.

I'm based in Queensland, Australia but am prepared to freight items to other Australian states and territories.  Can anyone recommend someone who is reliable & experienced in servicing B & O equipment?

The official B & O repairers in Victoria are Paul and Gavin who service nothing but B & O.  I have used them for problems with my Ouverture and a tv.  They are excellent.  Their address is: 121 Station Street, Malvern 3144.  Phone is 03 9576 1148.

Of course, this is the worst time of the year for things to go wrong!  Not sure when they reopen after the holidays!   Cliff

Hi Geoff

I live in Rockhampton, CQ.

I have a Beomaster 6500 that has had some periodic issue with one channel not working, but which comes good with increases in volume.  I bought a new speaker (muting) relay from Martin and was looking at getting that fitted.

I recently bought a Beomaster 7000.  It seems to have some IR issues and does not work very well with my MCP6500.  It works better with the Beolink 1000 and Beo4 that I have but it has to be fairly close to the unit.  From what I've read on here, recapping some of the areas on the Beomaster 7000 would help with the IR issues.

I am thinking about getting work done on both at some stage.  Just seeing if anyone knows of repairers that like working on this type of equipment.

Cheers

Chris
