Hi folks,

I have just got my mittens on a B&O Beogram 1000 turntable the arm has a counterweight issue and needs adjusting as it does not lift and sit properly, meaning that it does not follow the groove correctly. Is there an knowledge on fixing this.

Thanks

Jonny

Is the deck complete?
Counterweight fitted correctly?
Adjustment sliding ring and spring present and intact?
Have you set the tracking force? - And to what?
And have you checked with a tracking force gauge, that it actually sets true?

Hi Martin

Yes the turntable is complete as far as I know,

the counter weight and adjustment slide spring is there.

The tracking force I know nothing about I’m a bit green when it comes to vintage turntables could you please explain.

thanks

jonny
