Dear Beoworld-Community,
I am a happy owner of 4 Beovox 3000 4OHM speakers and trying to get these working.. I was researching for quite a long time already, but couldn't find any amplifier, which would work for all the 4 speakers.
I came across the Beomaster 3000 Receiver/Amplifier, but this one is quite rare to find / buy.
Do you have any ideas, which other amplifiers would work with those. And would it be possible at all to connect all 4 speakers to one single amplifier?
Many thanks in advance and regards,
Marco
Most Beomaster models of the 1960s, 70s and 80s will drive four speakers.Beomaster 1000, 1400, 1500, 1700, 2000, 3000, 3400, 4000, 5000, 4400, 6000, 8000...plus many Beocenter models.
None of them particularly rare, - unless perhaps in immaculate and fully serviced condition.
Which of the several different versions of Beovox 3000 do you have?
Martin
Dear Martin,
Thank you so much for your quick answer.
That was very helpful.
I have
x2: BEOVOX 3000, 4OHM 40(60)W
HT 3000 - TYPE 6220 / GODK Serie 06
and
HT 3000 - TYPE 6220 / GODK Serie 08
Considering these particular speakers, which Beomaster or Beocenter do you think would be the best in terms of sound quality?
And do you think I could also get an amplifier of a different producer, which can drive all these four speakers?
Cheers, Marco
The best Beomaster in terms of sound quality - definitely Beomaster 8000.Having said that, Beomaster 4400 and 6000 are very close behind - but with less output power.Beomaster 3000, 4000, Beocenter 7x0x-series are not far behind either - but less powerful again.
I don't think this forum would be the best place to ask about amplifiers from other brands. At least I don't know enough to advice you.
For 4pcs of Type 6220 I would say from Beomaster 4000 upwards.
