getting frustrated with this so any advice would be welcome.

i have a Beosound 5 connected via Powerlink to a pair of BL8000 mk2. I cannot get the sound settings to display? I need to change the default volume on start up. The BS5 is set to Audio Master option 1. The volume blue line indicates maximum when I move the dial.

The only other connection is Masterlink to a BL3500. All operates ok, I have read that I need Powerlink speakers to display the sound settings so with the BL8000 I should be ok?

I have had this setup from New for about 6 years.

My Beo6 remote has no impact on changing the settings either.

any thoughts appreciated.

Regards.

I rusty on the settings. Will do a bit of homework on this tonight when I have access to the machine. Reply further if I can.

A full blue volume bar suggests you are in option 2 as a audio master to a video master? ??

Check your settings in the maintenance menu (align mode to settings. >> << go). Check roles and options. Option 1, AM master.

Thanks 10% I can confirm unit is set to audio master and option 1. I tried all other options for fun, still no sign of the sound settings and volume indicator shows max. Audio master off is no different.
