Hi,

Happy new year all!

I recently purchased a second Beosound 3200 with no speakers. It is working OK using headset. I wanted to connect it my existing home theater. I have Onkyo AVR + 7.1 channel speakers. Is it possible to connect via CD audio using 2 RCA input? I just bought a 5 PIN to 2 RCA cable and hooked it to AUX port of the 3200 and 2 RCA to the Onkyo AVR. Unfortunately, i cannot hear any sound at all.

Appreciate your time and directions here.

Thank you and have a great day!

Regards, epman

Probably a wrong cable, (5 pin DIN connected for line in)

Hi epman,

Welcome to Beoworld!  Try the cable in either one of the 8 pin Powerlink sockets on the Beosound and turn up the Beosound volume to around 70% - this is likely to work with most DIN to RCA cables if they won't work in the Aux socket as an output.

If that doesn't work, you can use this cable in the Powerlink socket of the Beosound to the line in sockets of your receiver: https://www.soundsheavenly.com/bang-olufsen/110-5-pin-din-to-twin-rca-powerlink-compatible-to-non-bo-hifi-amplifier-receiver-etc-din-to-twin-phono.html

Kind regards, Steve.

Steve.
