Beocord 5500 Tape deck spindles slipping

Hi Fellow Beocordians, Just happen to lay my hands on a Beocord 5500 from a local seller. The deck seems to be in quite a good shape. However, I notice that, when I try to play, FF or REW a cassette, when the tape spindle hubs turn, they give like a gear slipping impression. Any suggestions?

Would the Tape transport mechanism belt be the culprit or any issues with the deck mechanism?

Secondly, where can I order the belt if it is indeed the issue?

If the belt(s) were never replaced, that would be the place to start.
I can supply correct belts. Email or PM me.

Yes, from the interiors, it seems, the unit was never opened and the belts never changed.
