Setting MM or MC of MMC 20EN cartridge

Dear all,

Please kindly inform me whether the cartridge MMC 20EN should be connected a cable to MM or MC position on the amplifier.

I have recently purchased BeoGram 4004 from an audio shop in our country. 

Your prompt reply would be highly appreciated.

Hi, Hans,

the MMC are designed for a MM input

It is actually a moving iron cartridge which uses the MM input but you may find that the output is lower than most moving magnet cartridges. This means the volume needs turning up an extra notch. I think some Ortofon cartridges use a similar system.
