I have an AV9000 with an Auxillary input in the back (Left, Right and Video phono plugs).  This input is on the AV Control Centre (and not the TV).   However,

1.  On the Setup within the Menu Option, there is only a video setup and this just gives me options for Scart 1 and Scart 2, which are on the back of the TV.  I do not know how to configure this 'port' to make it visible.

2.  Alternatively, I have tried both V-Aux and A-Aux from the Beo 4 and neither seem to work.

Ideally, what I want to be able to do is connect an iPod so that I can play it back through the system.  Does anyone have any ideas please?

If I remember from long time ago...(!?) press V.TAPE and then SHIFT - 9 (or SHIFT - 7?).

The AUX input is connected to the inbuilt video tape recorder, a kind of a VX7000.

So, this input will work in V.TAPE mode only.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for your swift response and guidance.  Using VTAPE and then Shift 7 selects VTAPE6 so that did not work.  However, since you mentioned that it would only work through VTAPE, I can now access the Auxillary from the VTAPE Menu (option 5).  It now works and sounds good.

If anyone knows a 'Hot Key' way off accessing the Aux rather than going through the VTAPE,  Menu, and then press 5 for  VTAPE Menus and 5 again for Auxillary.that would be helpful.

That said, I am really grateful to Stefan for his help.  Thank you.

Sorry, it`s been a long time ago I used my AV9000...

Do you need the videotape recorder? Do have Link-TVs connected to the AV9000?

If not, just get a scart to rca adapter and connect it to the AV1 port. Now press just V.TAPE.

Another option is to connect your audio source to AV2 port - if not used - assign it to CDV and activate the port by pressing DVD on Beo4.

BTW: which beolink remote are you using? Do you know which version of the AV9000 you have? There is an older version with 2 way communication, usualled controlled with a Beolink 5000/7000, and the newer one with 1 way software for Beo4 control.

And: Did you try V.TAPE - SHIFT - 5?

Did the same last week with a friends AV9000.

Disconnected the Vtape's scart, used a RCA to scart.

Press Vtape or better, use AV-VTape to listen to the music with the screen off.

Used the VTape input for an Apple's Airport Express.

Spotify through an iPhone etc.
