I've just been informed by my local dealer that Joe Public can no longer purchase any parts.... "we have a B&O authorised repairer and only they can order spare parts for work they carry out, unfortunately"
Anyone else had a similar experience? Anyone know how to obtain parts?
I am after a pair of tweeters for my newly acquired Beolab 9s as I'm informed they can be a component that occasionally fails.
I was also after the polished silver trim that goes around the buttons of a Beocenter 2300, but I wasn't optimistic about the availability of those.
To be told that if you want anything replacing on your pride and joy, you have to pay the extortionate official B&O repair prices, rather than fit it yourself, or take it to a very nice man who lives in Hampshire, has left me in a state of mild shock.....
Cheers
Nigel
Another squeeze on the jugular of anyone daring to try and resurrect or improve the condition of their own B&O products, if that's the case.
It's either B&O supporting their service centres in a rare show of loyalty, or it's to get existing customers to ditch their existing B&O and buy new B&O... which they won't - they'll just switch to another brand like they have been doing for the last 5-7 years.
Who knows.

I totally agree. But, lets face it, they do not have any parts available anyway, for the older products. You might have a chance at new displays for Beo4, glass doors for those older systems, and laser units for 3000/3200/9000. A few relays for the Beolab speakers, and probably some PCB's also at a very high price.
All other parts are not available anymore, so I dont think this will make a change for the service centers. In fact I think as you, that it will just put more people off B&O, when they find out they should pay at least 4000dkk to get the CD unit repaired in their 20000dkk Beosound 9000 that is old anyway, especially when their old Denon CD player they paid 1000dkk for a long time before BS9000, still works like a charm.
People will just sell them as defect, and move on to another brand. A few might go the BeoPlay road, and that is probably what B&O wants them to do anyway.
