Hi, my BS2 that I only use with AirPlay suddenly started to play music alone (like an internet playlist or something). It is of course connected to the wifi but bluetooth is not connected to any device and 'not always open' and I choosed 'manual connection'. As sources I activated only line in (no TuneIn, Deezer, Chromecast, ... nothing!) because TuneIn was dropping of all the time despite my excellent optical fiber internet connection. When my laptop is closed, if I tap on the top of the BS2 nothing happens (in the past it started to play music coming from I don't know where but this seems solved). I'm starting to get a bit upset with these bugs.
Did something similar occur in another house... Any idea to help to find what caused this?
Yes it did to me, both with A9 and A6 - and both with (and only with) Airplay. I had an impression that this could be an Airplay bug of some kind... anyway then I learned to remember closing the Airplay connection between my iPhone and A9/A6 when I was done with listening and that is now an okay-ish workaround.
Not ideal, but...well, better then an uncontrolled self-started playback late at night, right? As for being upset, I don’t want to be unfair towards B&O about what looks at first as an endless list of firmware bugs - but I share your sentiment. I really actively contemplate selling both units and just enjoy some music, whichever the alternative brand would be. Let’s see if the new firmware, due very soon probably, could fix such volatile behaviour.
I like (love) very much the design my BS2 and the premium feeling that the build quality produces when you look at it or interact with it. This has prevented me since now to sell it, but every time I discover a new issue I start thinking again that B&O will never have a stable software and this may push me once to make the step and sell it. I was once woken up during my sleep by a smoke alarm in an hotel room and I don't want to leave again this kind of experience with a such powerful speaker starting randomly during the night...

I alway disconnect AirPlay from a device, when I am done....
....to prevent unwanted activation.
To me that is not a ‘workaround’ - it is what you have to do...it’s become a habit!

I had in the past a TuneIn account but I deleted it as I had many dropouts. No other account. I checked again and no account has any ID and all are unactivated.
