My Avant 55 won't switch on. I've powered down from the mains. The green strip light comes on when the power is reinstated but goes off after about 30 seconds. There is no response from the remote control. Spoken to the retailer and I've been told to power down for alt least an hour to "allow all the power out of the TV" ? Anyone help ?

Is your Avant 55 totally independent or is connected to other B&O products?--- Beoplay products, ML/NL converter; etc.? Do you use either the Beoplay or Beoremote apps? You may be able to access the Avant through the multiform option on the Beoplay app. The Beoremote app has helped me in the past with the Avant.

This happened to me. It was a problem with the remote. It had unpaired itself. So unplug the tv again. Put the remote into pairing mode. Then plug the tv on again. After a while of the green light being on, it will pair again and the remote will be able to control it again and turn it on.

Hi Joe

Is your Avant 55 a mark 1 (infra-red) or NG (Bluetooth)?

First and obvious suggestions is batteries in remote whichever version it is.

If it is bluetooth version there are a few things to try:

1. Change mode of remote to BEOVISION then back to Avant.

2. Slide keypad slightly away from battery contacts (requires the pin in reverse of remote).

3. As already suggested, power off and try re-pairing remote.

Once you regain control of TV check that software is up to date.

Good luck.

swopped it for an Eclipse 55, at a cost. Watch my next
