Hi
as per the title - I’d like to play my iPhone through the BV7 Mk 2 speaker. Having done a search I found this entry in the archive which seems to offer a solution
‘ ...use AV 4's two RCA phonon plugs, call AV 4 - V.AUX in the TV menu.
Then ADD. A-V.AUX to your remote (Press list and st.by at the same time to enter service menu on beo4. then "ADD?" is shown in the display press GO, and scroll to you find it) you also need to set the TV to "option 2" thats also done in the service menu on the remote you have to find "option" instead of ADD? by pressing "list", and then V.opt and then press "2", TV has to be in standby.
If you do it this way the screen is turned of when you use the ipd’
I’ve tried to follow the post but as a relative newbie it’s all slightly confusing. So, a basic Q to get me started: “...call av4 v.aux “ - how to I do this?
You need to navigate to the connections menu. Depending on which version of BeoVision 7 you have they are slight differences. Press menu and look for OPTIONS. from there select CONNECTIONS. This will display all of the AV sockets and show what function key is assigned to each socket.
You need to check that V.AUX is not already used. If it is change the AV socket to NONE by highlighting the line and the scrolling sideways. Then go to AV 4 and select V.AUX, again by scrolling sideways. Remember to press GO to store.
You then need to check that V.AUX is available on your "List" button on your Beo4 remote control. If it isn't there you will need to add it.
Rather than type those instructions, lets us know and it we can give instruction on that. It's easy but there are a few steps to follow.
Hope that helps.
