Hello,

I'm in desperate need of an 7-pin DIN to phono (From a Beomaster 5000 record player → Sansui amp).
Been searching for way too long now, and would be super helpful to get any leads!

best,

Welcome to the forum!

A 'five pin' DIN to phono will be fine for your requirements.  The other two pins are for B&O specific data, which your amp will not require.

Steve at Sounds Heavenly (site sponsor below) makes some high quality cables and I am sure he will be able to help if you drop him a line!

If it had not been for this plug...
Or will it fit anyways?

Ah I think I understand.  The extra two pins in the 7 pin DIN should unscrew.  Put them somewhere safe in case you get a B&O amp in the future!

No problem.  Be aware that the Beogram 5000 (if that's what you are using) needs a RIAA pre-amplifier if your amp doesn't have one.  Again Steve should be able to advise/help.

Thanks Guy,

Yes, I have both the 7 pin female DIN to twin RCA cables and the RIAA pre-amplifiers (with cables and instructions) available for the Beogram if required.

William - you may find that standard 5 pin DIN to twin RCA cables don't have the correct grounding connections for Beogram turntables, so you may get a humming issue if the cable hasn't been wired specially for a turntable.

I am always happy to help with any cabling questions - please click on my sponsor link at the foot of the page if you need any help.

Kind regards, Steve.

Steve.
