Hi - I've had the 2600 for a few years now - great sound.  I have got used to readjusting the volume slider to get both speakers working sweetly.  The right one can go silent on me.

Now I have a bigger problem - the volume fades right down and then back up all on its own and the volume slider does not behave as I would expect.

Can anyone advise please?  Thanks-  Richjaffa

ps - I don't believe in poltergeists...

If both channels are affected at the same time, it could point to a common circuit, perhaps a voltage supply and/or regulator problem.
You could choose to clean the volume potentiometer while in there.

Hi Dillen - just cleaning the potentiometer did the trick.  I'd not had it apart before - very dusty and an ancient spiders web inside - little critters.  A blast of gas duster and a careful clean and its sweet as a nut.  Thanks. r
