Hi,

My BeoMedia 1 stopped working for the third time (doesn't start). I won't bring it in repair this time, but was wondering if spares can be found somewhere? Thanks.

Hi Guy,

everything except the ml-card is standard PC stuff. If you can repair beomedia 1 yourself depends on your technical knowledge.

Most of the times the internal power adapter is defective. The capacitors are cheap 85°C ones which will blow.

Another problem is the harddisk drive. B&O uses standard 8/7/365 days desktop harddisk drives with limited lifetime compared to 24/7/365 days enterprise drives.

Hi Martin,

Thanks. Yes, I believe I can do it. The HDD is fine. It is possible that the internal power adaptor is defect.

Will see if I can find the components.
