Hi all,

My Beogram 7000 turntable does not detect a 45 rpm record (Single), but lowers the pickup arm as if it was a 33 rpm record (LP).

It does not play if there is no record on the platter, so I believe the detector is somehow working.

Is it the same detector that detects if it is an LP or a Single?

How does it actually detect the record, is it some kind of light sensor or the like, and where is it placed?

Best regards,

Jens Rendboell
