Until now was really happy with my two A1’s and playing them a lot in stereo pair on different locations. Suddenly out of the blue bass on one of them started to sound weird, and upon closer inspection the woofer was actually “leaking air” causing the distortion. On youtube a few video’s about this issue where in the comments section more people complain about it. I have just returned mine to the service department.
i did not drop it, and never play them on max volume. It has been on max volume for one of two seconds by accident a few times but I assume these little speakers are protected for overboosting and damaging the speaker membranes??
Pretty smooth experience with Beoplay repair service!
My faulty A1 was picked up by UPS and a week later it is exchanged for a brandnew sealed one. They did not have my colour in stock so i received an email with a choice of availlable colours. No big deal.
warranty for the exchange unit is the complete 24 months again, not bad at all !!

I have decided not to use the replacement one anymore. The one I already have is sufficient for my needs. If one is looking for a black used one with 24 months factory warranty just drop me a PM. i will make a sharp offer.
