Hey guys,
I currently have several B&O/Beoplay speakers in my lounge along with a Bose system. What I am looking for is something that will connect to my Bose; thus turning the Bose speakers into a B&O speaker.
I see the Beosound Core has a TOSlink output which would work with the Bose I have in mind, but I just don't know if the two technologies would work together. I've tried Chromecast, but that isn't as reliable as using a Besound Moment and the B&O app to connect multi-room. Plus I can't get Deezwer HIFI doing it the Chromecast way either.
Could someone please advise me. I have my hopes up here :).

One other quick question is, do I need a TOSlink to TOSlink or TOSlink to 3.5 mini connector?

That would depend on the Bose equipment, and you haven't said what your particular model is? The Core's optical output is a standard TOSlink. If the Bose has an input similar to the Core's input, labeled "Line-In/ Optical" then an *optical* 3.5 mini plug should be on the other end. If the Bose has only a standard analog input, you lose.
For example, neither the SoundLink Revolve nor the SoundTouch 10-20-30 will work (analog 3.5mm input only, according to their manuals) but a SoundTouch 300 bar will (though it may disable the HDMI input, not clear how it chooses). Newer Lifestyle systems have optical digital inputs, but it depends on how old your model is. They use standard TOSlink connectors. (Like B&O TVs, I think you have to "assign" one of the optical connectors to a particular source.)

Thank you for the information. I have a new Bose Lifestyle system, so I have the TOSlink option. I have ordered the core now based on this information. I can't wait to connect everything up. If you can imagine a kid at Christmas getting his BEO toys lol.

The only problem is I cant get the Core to sync with my other speakers, When I change the sound sync on the core, it changes the sound sync on all the speakers, so its making no difference.
On the Bose Lifestyle, there are no options to adjust AV delay for this particular output.
Does anyone know a fix, because I don't want to return the product?

The sound on the Bose is probably behind, right?
In that case the processing in the Bose system is eating up time.
Not really a Core Problem, then.
