I decided it was high time I tidy up the mess of cables at the back of my BV7. All looks nice and tidy now, but the TV stand no longer seems to function! It's doesn't rotate either when switched on/off, nor when commanded by the Beo4.

What have I done?

Thanks

Are you sure, that you have put in the stand-cable correctly again - they can be a bit fuzzy.

If correct, try disconnecting and reconnecting the tv from the mains before testing.

Do you see the stand option in the menu?

Did you make any changes to the cable itself - pulling too hard could course a disconnect inside the stand.

Only way to solve that, would be to take it apart for examening - let us hope, that this is not the fase.

There is a tv - and there is a BV

The part off the cable that goes into the tv has a mark on it to show what way to put it.

It has TOP printed on it. This does not mean that TOP should be the highest point.

"You think we can slap some oak on this thing?"

If you connect mains lead before the stand cable the software in the TV does not detect the stand so it will not appear in the menu.

It is worth powering off TV, check that plug from stand is inserted correct way then finally powering up TV again.

My guess is you tidied up cables while the TV was connected to mains, or turned the TV on before stand plugged in.

Disconnect TV from mains for a minute, plug stand cable in and then turn the mains back on and should be good to go!
