I want a Beolit.

A plain and simple radio DAB FM(that can stream via Bluetooth or the internet if necessary)

Something elegant and a classic, not in the shape of a grey battery. I want it beautifully made and I’ll just have to pay the man. Lots of aluminium maybe!

I want it to last forever in a world of temporary throw away rubbish. DAB has been around for decades now as has Bluetooth, so fairly well defined and stable. That can’t be an excuse.

This is quite a good unit. Although it cosmetically could never be compared to this from 1973. So fix it.

The review in what hifi says it’s sound quality isn’t up to scratch, so Geoff will have to fix that too.

Some might say I’m living in the past and just want a retro design with up to date electronics etc. And you’d be correct. Like the Mini, Fiat 500(i have one), and of course Marshall. https://marshall.com/lifestyle. They all seem to be doing very well doing just that, so what?

Wouldn’t it be nice to see B&O showrooms full of classic designs, that stood the test of time again. Recognisable items of techno and design brilliance, that have young people looking through the windows at night enviably. Something I used to do.

Yet another missed opportunity. "If your listening." When did they last do that?

Why the DAB part? If you have the option to listen to internetradio instead, always choose the internetradio, sound quality will 9/10 be superiour.

And personally i love the design of several of the newer models. The Beolits look amazing, and so does my A2. The new toaster is a design dissaster, I’ll give you that one

And if you live in UK, even simple FM will be technically better sound quality than DAB!

Unless you’re like me and live in an area where FM signal is patchy, but DAB works perfectly (agree on sound quality though - DAB is shocking)

It's a mystery why B&O won't remodel these old Beolit's.The demand is there as can be seen by the appreciating value of the original units.

Other manufacturer's have done well with reworked models,look at the runaway success of the Fiat 500 etc.

In consumer electronics though,all we see are remodelled portable radios's,worked over by "celebrity designers".The products mostly look ridiculous,and function poorly too!!

You'd think B&O could do with a "nice little earn" product to bolster their mass market aspirations?

They could even get the radio made by the "Ying-Tong Tiddlipo.Co"to keep costs under control.

In the meantime,look out for an original Beolit,but if you find a nice one,don't just leave it in the shed for the mice to appreciate it?

A nice beolit with preset internet radio stations, DAB, FM and no need to control it using a mobile phone - just switch it on and press the preset button to listen to your station - that would be wonderful. All too often all the new stuff needs an app to control it, the initial setup via an app is fine but I like to switch my phone off in the evening and actually sit and listen to music or watch TV without distractions.

One for me too, please.

Fm and Dab is far enough.

Count me in!  I would absolutely buy something like this.  I use FM on a daily basis.
