Hey guys!!
Wanted to know if any of you guys know how to access the new actual service menu on the Bv11 or the V1
wanted to see if there is even more adjustment to the image processing available in a "non consumer"
service menu.
Thanks in advance!!!
Accessing Customer Service Menu
- Press the MENU button on the remote control.
- Choose ‘Setup’, and press the Centre button.
- Press RED button and within 3 seconds press the Centre button.
- Choose ‘Settings’, and press the Centre button.
There is not a specific service menu as the modern TVs now use the Service Tool. That will access all sorts of things, but you need the service tool! The customer service menu is a little limited but worthy!

Hi All,
Some strange findings after updating my V1 to latest SW:
To make the procedure work you have to press the Centre button as shortly as possible. Then the customer service menu appears after a short periode of about one second. If pressed a little bit too long the normal function of the Centre button occurs immediately after the button press.

If it exist then why not?
B&O only make this available to dealers - I dare say one could mess up settings pretty comprehensively if not experienced so i imagine they wish to avoid this. I would have thought this was less the case with flat screen TVs than the old CRTs but doubt that they will ever make it available.

Like the software for the Beo5/6 also. If it is just software then anyone could use it with caution. Not that I have any need for it actually. I´d rather get the possibility to talk to B&O engineers about the TV-software (The B&O support won't allow you to). I have a lot of input that I think would help but B&O is not very much into that kind of communication outside their own testing panels.
It’s not that simple. With the beo5/6 software it is still possible to program the remotes with old software. Plugin the USB and go.
For the servicetool, in most cases, you would need the latest updates / settopboxes. So you really need a cooperative dealer to have access to those files. Besides that it’s not only software. You need the right cables to connect a laptop to your B&O gear, which are not available in your local shop.

I suppose they use USB or ethernet for that. Yes, actually I see no reason to have the servicetool if you have a working V1/BV11. Ethernet or wifi is all it takes for automatic SW-updates,, and download all 3rd-party devices.
I am trying to access the service menu with the steps provided in this thread but I cannot get it to work. Does anybody know if it has changed with recent updates?

Frederik, what worked for me in the past was to be very specific as to which source I am in as a starting point - To access the service menu hit menu then select setup and hit GO. Leave the cursor at the first selection and then hit RED + GO or center button depending on the Beo4 you have. The twist is that after much trial and error I found the only starting point from which this worked for me was Home Media i.e. first select Home Media as Source and then follow the above - any other source (TV, DTV, V.MEM etc.) simply disregarded the RED in the RED+GO sequence and you simply enter the Source List instead of a whole new Customer Service Menu
Hi berlin2010. Finally I got it working. Seems like you have to be very precise in the combination when pressing center button and red. Great - thanks!
I don't get this: I have to have choosed home media and there push menu>setup>sound , then red and GO/centre button? only get menu "customer service".
