I use a Sony VPL-HW55 with BeoSystem 4 - used it with BeoSystem 3 before that and it is one of the best 1080p projectors out there. Around 1.000€ second hand.

Ralf

I was interested in the Sony Projectors but couldn't find them in the BeoSystem PUC. Were you able to get a PUC file for yours?

I meant to say that I couldn't find the Sony projectors in the BeoSystem 4 PUC.

Not using PUC on the projector. IR cable would be too long. Wireless HDMI for connection.

Sorry. But Homecinema Room is not used daily. So fine for us...

Forgot to mention I never looked for Sony projectors in the puc database.

One work-around is to use a Lintronic box to send out the IR codes when the CINEMA ON/OFF triggers are received. The box can send out the IR signal across the room wirelessly. Still, I had higher hopes that B&O would populate the PUC database better than it has. The choices for screens and projectors are pretty small.

Thanks for the replies, looks to me the bat choice would be to replace the jvc with another one, 10 years it pretty good service, and the new one has the same dimensions, unless someone has a better suggestion?

I think Kallasr has a good recommendation with the Sony projector. The specs of the recent Sony projectors look much better than projectors from 10 years ago. They even support 3D for those of us who have a legacy 3D movie collection. Is your concern about the PUC control?

Lintronic has good instructions on how to use the CINEMA data control to trigger projectors, screens, etc. You do have to cross-over pins of the RS232 cables. I did this easily with (2) RS232 breadboards.

Hi beojeff, thanks for the reply, I know when it was set up they wired up a 12v trigger box. It’s always work. Once new projector is in place I will see if it’s still working, and post some pics, thanks for the advise
