Hi,

Can anyone please help me with the pin layout for the RS232 connection between the Beosystem 3 and the Beovision 4 (with camera) ?

I already tried a straight cable and a null modem cable but still no luck. The screen doesn't power up and is recognised in the Beosystem 3 as a Panasonic interface TY-FB9FDD, which is simply the DVI interface.

When I use a Panasonic remote to power on the Beovision 4 (in the left bottom corner), everything works. So, I'm suspecting the RS232 cable.

Any help is welcome.

Make sure you short pins 7&8 together - the beosystem won’t send commands otherwise.
