Hi All and thanks for the add.
I have recently acquired a Beocenter 5000 and I'm after some advice please.
It was from a deceased estate and very dusty and unloved. But, it came with all the original purchase paperwork, including the bill of sale and the cal cert for the MMC 20S.
I have stripped and cleaned it and rebelted the cassette player which now works but really needs the idler tyres replaced on the FF/RW wheels.
Someone in the B&O Facebook group mentions getting in touch with Dillen for these parts, are you here Dillen and how much will these set me back?
Also the left side of the VU meter doesn't light up, is this a common problem and easy to fix? Also, should the VUs operate during normal playback or do they only work during recording?
I have been blown away by how good this sounds using chrome tapes. I now need to set up the TT side of things and start some recording.
Thanks in advance for any help given.
I'm right here. You can see the idler rubber parts here:
