According to this there is an IR version of the CORE - so just be careful which one you choose

@ elephant

NOTE! New Mark II of BeoSound Core: BeoSound Core with IR Type No. 3051.
BeoSound Core version without IR type no. 2797. (should now be sold out in DK).

Got the second picture wrong, sorry but it works fine. One note, you need to set it to the right option just like the old beolink active, so 1-6 or 4... otherwise the light on the eye blinks but the Core does not respond.

I wonder if it is possible to order the upgrade ?

Rather than buying a replacement unit !
