I recently picked up a Beocentre 2200 - without the MMC 5 Cartridge- if I can't pick a replacment up (as they do seem rare) - is it possible to replace the tonearm with something easier to find - or is there another cartridge I can use - I had heard that there is a Shure type that can be fitted ?

I have recently picked up a 2200 turntable, and I too am looking fot a compatible cartridge. I'm a complete novice to b&o and these furum things. 😁 I also squired a 2000 amp/tuner and wondered it there are connectors that I can buy, that would allow me to use my existing speakers with the amp/tuner? As the connection on the back are different. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

So any info would be greatly appreciated.

If it’s a Beogram 2200 (that I also own) you can use a MMC 20E .

That is what the Beogram was supplied with when it was new.

According to the thread title this is a Beocenter 2200, which uses the MMC1-5 range of cartridges.
Replacing the tonearm would spoil the looks and it would definitely not be an easy task.
But why? - MMC cartridges are plentyful and worn ones can be rebuilt.

The speaker connections on your Beomaster 2000 is 2-pin DIN.
That's actually the only industrial standard for home-stereo speaker connections in the world. Everything else is non-standard.
Plugs can be found on Ebay etc. both as screw-mount and solder types. The latter is usually the best (if you can solder).

You need these for the speakers:
