have these as rear speakers connected by power link cable
suddenly they have started humming. Same volume of hum in both speakers
no non B&O equipment connected
Hi thorne,
Please can you confirm which equipment the speakers are connected to and whether they have separate cables back to the equipment, or if they are daisy-chained together?
Do both speakers still play music correctly?
Do they hum when the equipment is powered on, powered off but still connected, or both situations please?
We can then help you to locate the cause and resolve the issue.
Kind regards, Steve.
Steve.

Thanks, Steve
6000s are daisy-chained. Only hum when playing something. Completely silent in stand by mode. Sound is perfect through 6000s apart from hum
set up is
6000s to rear, 18s in front, Beolab 2 subwoofer. Connected to Beovision 11, Beosound 9000 and ATV
hope this helps
Could be a cable fault on the cable running from the TV to the first speaker. Do you have another RJ45 to Powerlink cable that you can try in its place to see if this resolves the fault?
Kind regards, Steve
Thanks. I don’t have a spare, but i’ll check for any loose connections in the first instance, then take it from there
I have these cables available here if you want to try a replacement, you are welcome to return it (in good condition please!) for a refund if it doesn't resolve the issue:-
