Can anyone help me please.
I bought a beosystem 6500 and beolap penta speakers.
When connecting the speakers to the beosystem 6500 I use the powerlink cables.
I do not get any sound, the information is visible in the speaker, but no sound.
Do I also need to connect speaker cables ?
A million thanks,
Per
Hi Per,
Please can you check that the speakers are set to "L" or "R" (not "Auto") using the switches on the hinged front panel? Please also check that the balance control on the Beomaster 6500 is set to the centre position (otherwise it may only be sending sound to one speaker).
The Beomaster may be muted (if so, it will show MUTE in the front panel), if so this will stop sound from playing.
If this doesn't help, you may have faulty cables, you need fully wired mk.2 Powerlink cables for Penta speakers to work correctly:-

If the displays work at the moment then you have the correct version of cables.
Kind regards, Steve.

After a move, the one speaker was not set to R and I had no sound. Checked that the speakers were set to "L" or "R" (not "Auto") and now I get sound from both.
Thank you Steve !!!
Hi,
That is good news. Glad to hear that everything is working!
