Having been tidying the cables behind mt Beovision I now have a problem with the stand, I can tilt the screen OK but cannot rotate at all. In the adjustment menu it still senses the screen position.

I have tried a power off with including unplugging the stand cable then plugging it in and powering back on.

I'm stumped any ideas?

Hi Paul,

How long time after powering on again, did you wait to try?

Sometimed after unplugging and back on it can take 30mins or more to ”activate”. Atleast thats my experience

Nowhere near that long will try later for 30 minutes or more.

Thanks Paul

Ye just let it stand.

I have no idea why, but sometimes it just takes a long time before it kicks in.

No joy after being off for over 60 minutes so I guess it must be mechanical.

1) Power TV down fully (disconnect from mains) and leave it a few minutes.

2) Unplug the stand from the TV

3) Keep the stand unplugged, and power up the TV.

4) Reset TV to factory default via the service menu.

5) Power the TV down (disconnect from mains) and leave it a few minutes.

6) Reconnect the stand whilst the TV is still powered down.

7) Power up the TV and reconfigure. It should work ok now if it's a software issue.

8) If it doesn't work, repeat steps 1-7 a few times. Sometimes it takes a few tries...

If that doesn't work, there's a chance you've inadvertently unplugged and re-plugged the stand with the TV powered up (even if it means the DIN plug has moved a millimetre out and in again, it all counts as a plug/unplug). This can short out the module which controls the stand and damage it. It's a cheap little module... which unfortunately is part of the main chassis - and this means a new chassis at hundreds of pounds / Euros / Dollars.

7 times out of 10 it's steps 1-7. Good Luck  :)

For anyone reading this who owns a BV7......  NEVER unplug and reconnect the motor floor stand with the screen powered up.  You are playing Russian Roulette.

Lee,

thanks for this will try later, I assume I need  to make a note of all my connection settings, speakers etc. before the reset.

Lee,

Tried it twice but still can only tilt not swivel, so looks like bad news.

Have managed to reset all the options but cannot put the tv into option 2, all I get is the tv showing dtv2 in the small red led and leaving the tv in option 1.

Removed the source on DTV2 set the option to 2 and then added the source again, OK now for V.Opt 2. Paul
