Hi everyone,

I would be interested to hear if other members have a "B&O refuge", "Man cave" or other place where you can retreat to enjoy your B&O gear in peace?

My office has 2 x Beolab Pentas, 2 x Beolab 3000s on the back wall, a projector with a drop-down screen and my collection of vintage synthesizers so that I can play music or watch a movie in peace when I'm not working.

At 2.5m x 2.5m, it isn't particularly impressive to look at, so I'm hoping some other Beoworlders with more space and imagination can make me inspired and/or jealous with some details and photos of your setups!

Does anyone else have a B&O related "Don't Panic" room to escape from the world outside?!  Whistle

Kind regards, Steve.

Steve.

My whole house is a B&O cave......Big Smile I need a B&O in every room! Not negotiable, must be able to retreat in every room. There is only 2 of us and we both B&O crazy which helps.

I think I have four rooms.

At first I was going to say I only have 1/2 room, but then I thought how I use the other rooms 🤫 when SWMBO is out.

And if I count the great outdoors, my headphones etc, and long walks maybe I should say five rooms !?

Thanks Steve for starting the thread.

It depends on my living conditions.

Currently my Beosystem 6500 is in a basement room where I spend most of my time.

In another bigger room also in the basement is my Beosystem 6000 and Beovision 5500 with VX7000 vhs deck.

Ground level has my Beovision AV9000.

Assorted B&O all over the place basement and ground level.

Hi,

I wonder if the need for a B&O sanctuary varies depending on whether there are young children in the house?  Our home is always very noisy so my office is the place to escape the mayhem!

I like the idea of a music room in the basement - I helped a customer set up an Avant 85" and a pair of Beolab 90s in his basement hideaway room recently and I was very jealous of both the equipment and the room!

My office is built on the side of the house with an adjoining passageway, so I can shut the door and enjoy peace and quiet whenever I want Sleep

The flipside of this is being able to watch action movies on the big screen late at night without disturbing the kids or the neighbours!

Kind regards, Steve.

You should be grateful to your wife.....or nanny - whilst you are watching your action movies 😉

Hi,

I wonder if the need for a B&O sanctuary varies depending on whether there are young children in the house?

In my case it’s surely a contributing factor! Dad’s room is a strictly no touching zone Wink I use it as a peaceful room for listening to music, watching films or sports and playing around with different setups or temporary storage while I’m refurbishing something, like the 900 rgc in front of the Beolab 10. It is at the furthest away corner of the house and not yet refurbished, so it’s the one place where it doesn’t have to be tidy or pretty, which I have to admit is usually a big part of the beo appeal. And it’s by far the darkest room in the house with plenty of rosewood and teak...

Current setup in there is my Classic Audio bm4400 with bg4000, cdx, Beolink active and m100.2s. And a bs3 bv4-50 with bl10, m100.2 fronts and cx100 rears. And a 610 grand prix deluxe tv. And a beovision 1800. And a 900 rgc (I have a thing for beofurniture). But It changes frequently and I try to limit myself Whistle

Hi Kromer,

Thanks for adding the pictures, what a superb room!  I wish I had the space for more classic B&O products - my first B&O system was an enormous Beocenter 3300 and I would love to get another one if I could find somewhere to put it......

The same rules apply in "Dad's room" here - plus children are not allowed in without a grown up Huh?

I also need to add a nice comfy armchair for relaxing when I'm not at work.  That is a great B&O collection, thanks for posting!

Kind regards, Steve.

Thanks Steve, and for starting the thread. Looking forward to seeing the different versions of what a beosanctuary is Yes - thumbs up

It is indeed the same rules here. They are more than welcome to join me in there though. It is not a room to escape from the family, but it’s on my terms.

Although I have B&O throughout the house, I keep my absolutely do not touch stuff in a crow's nest room on the top floor of the house. The only way up or down is by way of a precarious loft ladder. I lugged up a pair of BeoLab 5 speakers. Nobody goes up there except me. They've been up there for over a year, and my girlfriend still has no idea I even bought them.

I believe I bought my audio cables from Sounds Heavenly to make this system function properly. Big Smile

BeoLab 5, BeoVision 7-55 MK2, BeoSound 5 Encore, BeoSound 9000, BeoLab Penta III, BeoLab 8000, BeoLab 6000, BeoLab 2, BeoLab 7-6, BeoSound 8, BeoTime (analog clock), Beo 4 remote.

Hungedu I´m impressed by the same thing as Steve that you succeed to lugged up a pair of BL5 via that loft ladder.... not the easiest Beo equipment to in terms of weight to get up there...

My self have 8 room and have equipment for each room (not yet mounted), the small challange I´m struggling with is if I could connect them together via master link but it´s a combo of both ML + MCL products there it will be problem with the MCL products.
