Essence remote to Beosound Core

Quick question for those in the know:

I have a pair of wall mounted BL8000s and a BL11 in my dining room which are connected via powerlink cables to a Beosound Core which is situated in my office directly above the dining room. All works fine via the B&O app.

Would an Essence remote in the dining room be able to connect and control the Beosound Core in the upstairs office? No concrete floor between the rooms, just wooden floor joists, sound insulation and chipboard floating floor upstairs. My thinking is that since the essence uses Bluetooth to connect, it might well be able to work..?

You may first try to « detect » your BS Core Bluetooth with your phone Bluetooth settings (not with the B&O app) from downstairs...
