I have been trying to factory reset a BC 6000 (Mk 1) handset
I have seen the instruction:
press the red dot and then enter 7009 followed by “ok”
Firstly there is no RED dot, so I assumed it is the button at the 9'oclock left of the wheel
pressing 7 then brings up the Menu;
Can anyone help please?
black dot followed by 70009 (you left out a '0'), followed by 'ok'
Thanks; that has worked
I was expecting/hoping the pin would be reset to 0000, because I have not been to re register the phone with the base (old style PSTN) because it is asking for a pin
Is there any way to do that, or does it mean a pin for the PSTN?
Thanks
If you are trying to register another handset and are asked for a PIN it is because the PSTN already has the maximum number of handsets registered to it (6 if it is a mark 1 base).
You need to use a different handset that is already registered to the same base to "remove" handsets to make space for the new registration.
If you only have that handset I'm stuck. I don't know how you would reset the base without having a handset connected to it.

Thank you for that extra piece of information which confirms what I had suspected from reading some previous threads.
My phone is now fully functioning; I used another 6000 to reset the PIN and also to remove the problematic 6000 from the base enabling me to start again. I had wondered about phantom registrations causing the PIN to be called for, but the Intercom options never went above the four handsets I had operational on the system.
ich habe ein reset °70009 ok gemacht und kann nun keine Basis anmelden??!!
