Hi everyone, I've been away and pretty busy for a while but hope to get back into posting soon.

I just saw this article on new Hue bulbs but most interestingly a new hue motion sensor.

http://www.macrumors.com/2016/08/29/philips-hue-motion-sensor/

Hopefully the BLGW will be able to pick up data from the sensor soon and we'll be able to have an easy to install motion sensing capability! Big Smile

It's good! You'll love it.

Certain places also stock the bayonet version. It seems most places have the edison screw.

I've been using a sensor at my office for a week now. It works pretty well. Setup is very easy with the Hue iOS app. You can set which scene to activate during daytime and select a different scene to activate at nighttime. You can select the length of time of sensing vacancy before the lights are turned off. A nice feature is that it will first dim the lights before turning them off. This gives you a warning if you've been too still at your desk so that you can wave your arm to keep the lights on. This has happened a couple of times. I believe that the sensitive can be adjusted to compensate for this. A find myself appreciating the sensor to turn the lights on hands-free when returning from court with my arms full of briefcases and files.

Hi everyone,

Almost two years ago there was this thread about using the Philips Hue Motion Sensor as a trigger/event for the BLGW.

Any news about it?

If it works, I could integrate it in my KNX-system and have a non-KNX motion detection system. If not, is there another third party motion detection system which works fine with the BLGW? I don't want a KNX-sensor, because of the programming my KNX-system.

I use the RadioRa2 occupancy/vacancy sensors as triggers. They work great. In fact, I find them to be more accurate and reliable than the Hue sensor. I use them in the bathrooms to trigger Philips Hue lights on/off in macros. The sensors themselves are inexpensive and very easy to setup. However, you must buy the RadioRa2 bridge.
