Hi,
I am, perhaps, the newest Beoworld member. Hello!.
I would like some advice on how to set up my living room A/V system, please.
Here is a list of the equipment I would like to integrate:
Beosound 9000Beolab 6000 (2)Sonos ConnectApple TVSamsung TV with optical out and 3.5 mm outBeo4 mark II
I also have an D\A converter with an optical in and a digital coax in/RCA (L R) out and a 3.5 mm out.
Right now I have the Apple TV going into the TV with an HDMI cable and TV optical out of the TV going to the D/A converter.
Beosound 9000 digital out to D/A converter and D/A coverter RCA out to Sonos Connect L and R in
Then Sonos Connect RCA out to Beolab 6000 L and R.
It all works fine except I can't use my TV remote and the Beo4 won't communicate with anyrthing (I think there is dongle to fix that though).
Because I have two sources going into the converter, either the TV or the 9000 must be powered off or I get no sound and am afraid I might blow the converter. I could get another converter but then I would have to unplug/plug whenever I wanted to switch between TV and 9000.
Sorry this is so long but I wanted to give a full picture of the situation.
Any help would be appreciated.
I also have a Beolink Active and two Beolab 4 speakers if that gives anyone some ideas.
Thank you,
Robert
Hi Robert,
Welcome to Beoworld!
If all is currently working fine and the only issue is that the Beosound 9000 doesn't respond to the remote control (which is due to it not having B&O speakers directly connected to it), then you just need to add this dongle to one of the Powerlink sockets of the 9000 to fix this:-

One way around having two inputs to the D/A Converter would be to link the TV 3.5mm headphone output to the Aux socket of the Beosound 9000 instead with this cable:-

Hope this helps, please ask if you have any questions.
Kind regards, Steve.
