Dear all,

Since the very beginning (May 2017) my BS1 is really hard to find on my network. Unlike my ATV the BS1 doesn’t always shows up in my airplay devices list. For some reason it connects poorly (airplay).

On top if that my BS1 starts playing (loud) by itself.

How to tackle this problem best? B&O dealer advised to test with network cable but that is in my current setting close to impossible.

It is quite sad as it annoys me so much that it is withholding future B&O purchases.

If a member in Skåne (Sweden) is willing to loan my unit and do some testing, then I am all up for it.

I have a video of the BS1 turning on by itself but apart from being really difficult to upload it isn’t that exciting to see.

I suspect that there is a network problem. I have changed the router recently with no avail. BS1 and the device(s) I want to stream from are on the same network.

To conclude my rant, biggest design (software) mistake is that the unit can’t be turned off and should thus in times of trouble always be hard-resetted?

Hi! I got problems when I swapped my older Comhem router to the latest Comhem router.

Never got it to work with my B&O devices so I changed back and bought two Ubiquity accesspoints.

No problems since then.

Have you added the Deezer login info? That is why the app says "unconfigured".

Also, it is possible to switch BS1 off. You do a long press on one of the buttons under the unit.

Du kan skicka PM till mig om du vill resonera på Svenska.

/C

Try and give a fixed IP through your router.

Eg 192.168 etc. Set the BS1 in DHCP mode. This solved a lot of problems for me.

I use a Netgear R8000 and have a few cores and an essence and BS1, although the cores and essence wired from the start it wasn’t stable. After giving them a fixed IP in the router it is stable now for months. Do not set it through the beolink app, it makes things worse...Keep DHCP mode.

With some help and advise from Hjort I have now chosen the Ubiquity option.

Picked it up today and have it now running.

The Marten & Oopjen Rijksmuseum playmobil edition ...

Hi guys,

Enjoying my BS1 to the max with new Ubiquity router (?) connected.

Now I have encountered a new challenge, i can’t get my playmaker connected. It seems to hang (up) in the last configuration step.

Wifi list loaded, I select my network and enter the password that has an & sign in it (could this be an issue?)

Saving Network settings

Connecting with device

And then either the device or wifi network / access point can’t be found

Or ...

What am I doing wrong?

The led is white flashing.

Thanks!

The '&' sign in the password could well be a problem. I know from experience that you cannot change the name of the Playmaker to include an '&' sign - I once made the mistake of calling it 'B&O playmaker' and couldn't get it to work.
