Hi, can someone please tell me if the earth connections are necessary for the unit to operate or will positive and negative in and out be sufficient?

Thanks.

I have the boscom unit which just has positive and negative, from memory the LC2 has the same connections and will work. But if you're lamp or the bulb holder is metal then it should have an earth connection for safety reasons.

Thanks for that. Appreciated. As a matter of interest, regarding the Bosscom, can I incorporate one into my existing LC2 setups? Can it be used as an additional LC2 would be? Finally, how do you rate the Bosscom?

thanks again.

I would have thought you could but maybe someone else could confirm.

The new boscom unit is not as fast to respond as the older one, but looks to have less components inside and is much better built - really good unit that can be mounted on wall without sticking out too much - however both are very good indeed and available new.
