I have two LC1 which I want to bring back in action.

Can I use straight 230V halogene bulbs (the newer ones without transformer) with the LC1 ?

Hi Martin,

I have in the past used an LC1 with a 230V 150W halogen bar bulb in a floor-standing light.

It worked fine, but whenever the bulb blew, it would blow the fuse in the LC1. Now, changing the fuse in an LC2 is easy, but in a LC1 it’s a pain.

So after changing the fuse twice I used a LC2 with that halogen lamp.

Thanks Lawrence. Will give it a try with 3x 20W halagone bulbs.

Main problem at the moment is that LC1 does not have plasma protection.

As soon as the TV is on none of the two LC1 is receiving ir commands from Beo4 anymore Sad

Hi Martin,

With three lower wattage bulbs you should be fine. They should not all blow together.

I have a BeoVision 9 and all my LC1s and LC2s refuse to respond when it is on. If you find a solution (apart from picture mute) I would be glad to hear it.

All the best.
