When the BeoCenter 2300 is turned on there is a back light that lights up the CD area.  Is it a way to have this light turned off (and still have the BeoCenter 2300 turned on)?

Welcome to Beoworld,

As far as i know, the only way to do it is to electrically disconnect the bulbs.

But knowing how difficult they are to source when they fry it would be criminal to do so!Big Smile

So I suggest to matte the light window with some silver or aluminum tape.

(I can trade your working ones with two pre-fried ones if you really need them Smile)

See this old thread for proper bulb replacement.

Hi

The BC2300 is designed like that. When opening the glass doors it light 100 % when closing it will reduce to about 50 light. It can not be turned off.

Brgds/Fritz.
