Is there any way to adjust where my Beogram 2400 lifts the tonearm?

My Beogram 2400 automatically lifts up and returns the tonearm when it reaches the end of the record - about 6 times out of 10. Apparently, a lot of my records don't let the cartridge near enough the spindle to trigger the action.

Is there any way to fine tune this? I think if it was just triggered like a quarter inch earlier I would get much better results. I opened up the turntable once to fix the power button but don't know enough about turntables to recognize the part I would need to adjust to change the tone arm mechanism.
