Hi

I've read all over this and done my best with the unit.

Removed glass door and cleaned, both finger pins, behind the sledge all inside the machine where I can get and the laser with a cotton bud.

Still comes up with cleaning required, Is there anything else I've missed??

I've deactivated safety mode and the 'cleaning required' has disappeared. TM74

I presume it bypasses this with the safety mode off??

Is there a major issue with leaving it off apart from loosing fingers!!

Unit now works a dream.

Could there be simply a fault on the finger protection circuit.

Thanks in advance

Mark

Have you cleaned the small prisms?

Hi

Cheers for the reply.

I was fooled by one of these!!! You need to clean the transmitter and receiver "prism's" all around, not just the flat parts, and use spec's cleaner ideally,as any film left behind by other cleaner's will affect the operation too.

In a worst case of course, you may have a fault in the safety circuit, but this is rare.
