Hello There
Can anybody tell me if its ok to connect a B&O subwoofer to by Beosound 9000, Im also running this on 2no Beolab 8000s
Many Thanks
Mike
A Beolab 11 will improve the sound of the Beolab 8000 (own experience). Please note that it probably even is more subtle in a music set up than a Beolab 2. For movies it is a different story.
Hi Mike,
Welcome to Beoworld! Yes, you can use either Beolab 11 or 2 with your system and speakers. Beolab 11 will add a bit of extra depth for music, while if you go for Beolab 2 then this will really give the sound a good boost of extra weight and power. If you prefer, then any non-B&O powered subwoofer can be used instead, the REL T7/i is particularly good in my view.
For either of the B&O subs that you mentioned, please connect the speakers into the outputs of the subwoofer with the existing cables and then please use an additional Powerlink mk.3 cable to link the subwoofer to the Beosound:-

This way, the subwoofer can manage the bass to all three speakers. If you would like help adding a non-B&O sub to your system instead, please feel free to ask.
Kind regards, Steve.
Steve.
